BOSTON, March 30, 2021 — Luminoso, the company that turns unstructured text data into business-critical insights, today announced Jeff Moyer as the company’s president and CEO.
“Businesses are leaving money on the table if they don’t have a fast, accurate way of extracting sentiment and insights from the text data they receive through reviews, surveys, chatbot conversations, call center transcripts, and many other sources,” said Moyer. “The Luminoso team has done an extraordinary job of both building text analytics solutions that are truly differentiated in the market, and helping some of the world’s most well-known brands use its applications to turn insights into revenue. As Luminoso enters its second decade, I look forward to leading the company through a period of exponential expansion.”
Moyer succeeds Adam Carte, who led Luminso through a three-year period of significant growth. Under Carte’s leadership, Luminoso launched a series of AI-powered text analytics solutions that offer the fastest way for organizations to rigorously analyze unstructured text, natively across 15 languages. In 2020, Luminoso was recognized as one of the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for its growth over the last three years, one of the KMWorld AI 50 for “companies empowering intelligent knowledge management”, and the top software company in Massachusetts in the Boston Business Journal’s annual “Inno on Fire” competition.
Carte said, “It’s been an honor to scale Luminoso over the last three years from a startup into an established enterprise software company. Moyer is an ideal leader for the company’s next stage of becoming one of the pillar enterprise software companies in the US.”
Prior to joining Luminoso, Moyer served as the senior vice president of private cloud and managed public cloud for Rackspace, a leading end-to-end multi-cloud technology services company. There, he led product strategy, including go-to-market, positioning, and messaging. During Moyer’s tenure, Rackspace was recognized as a leader in Gartner’s 2020 Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Professional and Managed Services, Worldwide, as well as Gartner’s 2020 Magic Quadrant for Hosted Private Cloud Services in North America and Europe. Previously, Moyer was vice president and general manager of VMware integrated products at DXC Technology, and director of worldwide hosting services at HP Enterprise Services.
